1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files stored by the browser. Local storage works in a similar way for preferences and technical state, but it is not necessarily a cookie.
In ZeroPDF, these technologies may be used for language, authentication, visual preferences, offline Pro status, payments, and site measurement.
2. Categories used in the service
- Cookies needed for the basic technical operation of the site.
- Local preferences such as language and light or dark theme.
- Technologies needed for authentication, session, and account state.
- Technologies related to temporary confirmation of offline Pro access.
- Technologies used in the checkout and billing portal context.
- Optional measurement and analytics technologies.
3. Confirmed technologies
The technologies below may be used by ZeroPDF or the relevant providers, depending on the feature used and the applicable consent preferences. The list distinguishes cookies, local storage, and technologies loaded by providers.
The `zeropdf_pro_token` cookie, when present, belongs to ZeroPDF, may be read by the browser to allow temporary offline Pro access, has a maximum validity of seven days, and does not contain PDFs or filenames. `NEXT_LOCALE`, `localStorage.theme`, Clerk technologies for authentication, and Google technologies for measurement were also confirmed, but the Google technologies should only load after analytics consent.

5. How to manage preferences
Necessary technologies can be important for authentication, checkout, language, and the basic operation of the service. If you block them in the browser, some parts of ZeroPDF may not work properly.
Analytics is optional and is disabled by default. GTM and GA4 should not load before acceptance, and refusing analytics does not prevent use of ZeroPDF.
You can change the preference below at any time. When consent is withdrawn, ZeroPDF tries to remove first-party `_ga` and `_ga_*` cookies without removing necessary authentication, language, theme, Stripe, or Offline Pro cookies.
Cookie preferences
You can change your decision about optional analytics at any time without affecting authentication, language, theme, Offline Pro, or other necessary technologies.
Current choice: No saved decision
